DIANA KIMBRELL - Founder
Diana Kimbrell, our principal, founded the company in 1996 as a way to blend her marketing, media and sales skills with her sense of community. In doing so, she has created a specialty weaving community partners into most of her projects.
Kimbrell has an extensive 15-year background in media advertising sales that includes KCBS Radio (CBS), KNBR (NBC), KNEW/KSAN (Malrite) and KQED (PBS). Her management skills led her to be named National Sales Manager at KNEW/KSAN where she worked with major corporate advertisers and advertising agencies throughout the country. Her creative concepts inspired KQED to develop a new position for her as Special Projects Sales Manager, where she specialized in integrated marketing programs for clients utilizing radio, television, print and events.
Today, her ability to develop innovative, cost-effective marketing strategies, coupled with results-oriented implementation has distinguished her work. With her strong understanding of the strategic marketing communications and organizational issues facing clients today, she is known for her ability to solve problems, build teams and communicate effectively.
Kimbrell has been recognized by the California Coalition on Donation with their Community Recognition Award for her outstanding work on the public education campaign concerning the importance of donating organs and tissues. She was also a recipient of the Business Environmental Network's Award for development of Trash Talk, a waste prevention radio show airing on CBS. In 1998, she was nominated for the National Association of Women Business Owners-SF Chapter's Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award for her unique work in cause-related marketing. And she was nominated in 2003 as one of San Francisco Business Times' 100 Most Influential Women in the Bay Area.
PATI STOLIAR - PR and Marketing Assistant
Experienced marketing specialist, creative writer, registered nurse, and award-winning photographer, Stoliar brings to Kimbrell & Company a unique combination of business skills and a social mindset to help organizations and corporations achieve their goals. The fusion of Stoliar's varied interests provides a wealth of experiences that she draws upon to generate novel ideas for client support and for writing effective marketing materials.
"I love communicating good stories", states Stoliar. "There are so many out there that deserve to be told in an effective way. When we broker a successful 'marriage' for one of our clients, that's when my work really begins. Whether it's a health-related cause, an environmental issue or an affordable housing campaign, I try to come up with a novel approach to their story to take to the media. I put myself in the shoes of the client, as well as the editor."
Stoliar brings to Kimbrell & Company firsthand involvement with many community organizations: disaster preparedness, affordable housing, advocacy for the disabled and other civic groups.
Raised in St. Louis and Los Angeles, Stoliar completed her degree in Nursing at the College of Marin.
